Decorating For Vanity Lights
Decorating rooms for vanity lighting can be very effective when establishing a mood and atmosphere for your room. The colour of the room can be influenced by the lighting as can the lighting be affected by the colour of the room. Different temperature bulbs will give different colours of light and therefore can prove to be troublesome when decorating your room.

Generally vanity lights are tungsten bulbs, your everyday light bulb. Tungsten filaments will give a warmer glow, making everything slightly amber toned. This is quite beneficial for vanity lighting since it can give a better complexion in the skin when looking in the mirror. Using this to your advantage you can create a very warming colour to your room thereby making a complimenting tone with the lights.

Often times the opposite can be applied, in order to contrast different colours with each other. Warmer tones illuminating your face in a cooler coloured room such as blue or purple can make you stand out against your background. This can often be less distracting to the eye and make you the more prominent figure when looking in the mirror.

Keep in mind that the human eye tends to look for the brightest object it can see, and by utilizing your vanity lights to their greatest potential you can generate the effect that you are the most prominent subject, and make everything else fade away from view.
